enMat, Lompoc’s dental products manufacturer and largest employer in the

City, has launched a new Study Club for dental professionals in the area.

DenMat hosted the first of the new monthly study sessions on the evening

of June 20th at the company’s

headquarters on West Central

Avenue.

The topic of the inaugural

session was, “High Tech In-

novations in Endodontics,”

presented by Dr. Stephen Bu-

chanan of Santa Barbara. Dr.

Buchanan has a private practice

specializing in endodontics,

where he also has a state-of-

the-art teaching facility, is the

founder of Dental Education

Laboratories, and holds numer-

ous patents related to dentistry.

Seventeen dental professionals

from Lompoc, Santa Maria and

Solvang were in attendance and received continuing education credits for the evening.

In addition, attendees were treated to dinner catered by American Host of Lompoc. DenMat looks forward to

providing the monthly Study Club, bringing industry experts to the area’s dental community.

AMERICANISM CONTEST AWARDS

oretta Skinner and Chris Hutchinson co-chairpersons for the American Le-

gion Auxiliary Unit 125 gave awards to three students for their fantastic pa-

pers that they presented for the Americanism Essay contest this year. The

theme this year was entitled “ What can we learn from our country’s history?” This

was the third year and all entries were typed.

Ava Velasco:

First Place, American Legion Auxiliary Vandenberg Init 125 advanced

to first winner for district 16.
